Tamara Fletcher
- Children's Ministry Director
Matthew 19:14 Jesus said, ”Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.”
Investing in children has been one of the greatest joys of my life. I love teaching God’s truth in creative, engaging ways — through object lessons, games, activities, crafts and of course through God’s Word. I believe deeply in helping children memorize Scripture and build a foundation that will stay with them for life.
God began calling me into children’s ministry when I was in middle school. I started serving in preschool classrooms, and that passion only grew. In college, I studied early childhood education, went to Biola University and earned a degree in Christian Education with an emphasis on children, and later completed my elementary teaching credential.
This is my fifth role as a Children’s Director, and I’ve taught in more than eight schools. Each experience has strengthened my love for helping children know Jesus and grow in their faith.
My husband, Dan, and I have been married for 33 years, and we have three wonderful daughters. Seven years ago, when we walked into River Fellowship for the very first time, we knew immediately that we had found our “home.” We love this church and the incredible people who make up the River Fellowship family.
