I was raised in the LDS church or Mormon faith by my grandparents who later adopted my older brother, my little sister and me. Growing up we attended Sunday services and all the events at the Mormon church. I started to read the Bible more and knew the Book of Mormon already and was seeking God for an answer to my questions. When I realized that I had believed in this false church, I got mad at God and thought, “God you don’t care about me, and you would have let me believe these false things till I died.

 After I left the Mormon church and had been married for a year or so, I had a vivid dream. Then the next day I got a phone call from my old neighbor who always talked about Jesus to me. Many times, he would share scripture and stories of the Bible, and I would listen and never object to anything he said but took it all in. He said, the Lord put on my heart to share with you the story of the wheat and the tares, have you heard it before? He shared that the wheat and the tares look a lot alike and they grow together at the same time however if you try to pull out the tares, the roots are intermingled together so that you harm the root system of the wheat and end up killing them both. It made perfect sense to me that this was an interpretation of the dream. If God had destroyed the Mormon church when I was still in it, I would have died in my sins. Instead, God gave me time and understanding and more time for many others to get out by his grace. 

… “Seek and ye shall find…”  Matthew 7:7 – I know now that if you are seeking an answer of a spiritual nature and you reach out to God in prayer, and keep praying, then your answer will show up in a way you could not think of. Sometimes the answer is “wait, yes, no or not, even what you thought it would be” but when it comes, you know it’s the answer. I know that God loves me enough to get a message to me some way. I have walked in the Lord for many years and have followed his word and have sought his word almost daily and continue to this day.
