Asia and Africa
Pastor Bond and Heather Gaona spent a decade living in Asia and Africa, establishing Calvary Bible Institute campus locations in Nepal and South Asia, as well as hosting a Calvary Chapel School of Ministry in Northern Uganda each summer. Through this ministry, nationals have been trained, sent out, and equipped to plant Calvary Chapels in Nepal, India, Uganda, Pakistan, China, and beyond.
Bond and Heather continue to oversee ministry throughout Asia and Africa. They are passionate about providing biblical training for pastors and leaders, discipling nationals, planting Calvary Chapel churches, and sharing the Gospel in remote regions where many people have never heard the name of Jesus.
Bond remains actively involved in teaching and equipping national leaders for the work of the ministry, while also providing pastoral oversight to campus locations in Asia and church planters throughout Asia and Africa. Heather is passionate about discipling and teaching women, and she handles the administrative aspects of the campus locations, national pastors, outreach, team coordination, visiting pastors, and communication.
Bond and Heather have been married for 27 years and have one daughter. They are now based out of San Diego and continue to travel overseas as a family to fulfill God’s call on their lives and carry out the Great Commission. In 2026–2027, they will travel to serve in Nepal, India, Peru, and Uganda.
